The KocoSky snake print, metal plate necklace is a statement piece. It yields a rich earthy tone that can carry through the changing seasons. This versatile piece can be worn with many different looks ranging from urban to casual chic. It’s an easy way to add a pop of color and touch of personality to your outfits.
Above, I’ve styled the necklace in a couple of different ways. I’m in love with this piece and truly impressed with its versatility.

We’d love to see how you style your Kocosky necklace. Feel free to send in your pictures.
Pictures will be posted to our blog and Facebook page.

Top 3 Party dresses

Top 3 Party dresses

Above, are my top 3 party dress picks for the month of December. I wore the long sleeve beaded dress last night with tights and black suede BCBGeneration pumps. The dress is lined throughout and fits true to size. The stretchy fabric is comfortable to wear and soft to the touch. The burgundy color is a deep rich tone that will compliment any skin tone.

I had a chance to try on the dress on the right(black snake print trim) and was able to slip into a small. I usually wear a medium so if you want a snug fit you may want to order a size down. The material has a nice weight and you don’t have to worry about your undergarment lines showing. Loved the way this one fit. It really shows off your curves.

The first dress(black bodycon with cut outs) is the perfect little black dress. It’s a new arrival so i haven’t had a chance to try it on but I love the ruching and lines down the front and back center seam. It creates a lean line that goes up into a deep V. You can even pair it with a bright pumps for a punch of color.
These dresses are perfect for parties.

Daily routine

Daily routine

Skin care is something I took for granted for years till I started to notice fine lines and dark spots.  It’s so important to protect our skin. Our face is exposed to so many elements on a daily basis. Can you imagine the effects the sun has on your skin? I’ve noticed an increase of spots on the left side of my face which is the side that is exposed to the sun while driving.
I try to take better care of my skin by washing throughly, moisturizing , prime/prep with SPF during the day, washing throughly again in the evening and moisturizing before bed.

I cleanse with Purity by Philosophy. The gentle formula is ideal for my sensitive skin and it does the work. Leaves my face clean and refreshed.
Shiseido (The Skincare line) is what I’ve been using for years. It’s a light moisturizer with SPF15. It has a delicate scent and half a pump is all you need for your whole face. I will never use another moisturizer (I’ve tried) because this fits my skin type. Its light, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t feel greasy.
Over the Shiseido moisturizer I use the BareMinerals Prime Time. I thought I could save money and do with out the primer but it does make a difference. It gives my minerals a smooth canvas to lay on.
I use BareMinerals foundation. It is the only foundation I believe in. I used to watch the infomercials, thinking  it was  just hype. All I needed was the starter pack..now I’m hooked. My skin has definitely aged. Dark spots, red spots..oh you know..the usual! Thats normal right?LOL… This foundation covers my imperfections and doesn’t make my skin feel clogged. It feels natural.
At the end of the night, after cleansing with Purity,I apply Olay night cream on my face and neck. It has a scent but not too bad, even for my sensitive nose. This cream does feel thick but it should nourish and feed your skin while you sleep. In the morning, my skin does feel soft and it stays on throughout the night.

Ladies if you use the Clarisonic system, please let me know what you think. I hear good things but still a bit skeptical about purchasing! I’d also love to hear what beauty produts work for you! Always on the hunt for new/better products!!

BareMinerals 100% Natural Lipcolor

12 Dec

A few months ago, I purchased BareMinerals 100% Natural Lipcolor. It is made up of natural ingredients such as jojoba, macadamia, sesame, coconut oils, Brazilian cupuaca butter, Tahitian monoi oil, pomegranate seed oil, vitamin E and mineral pigments. The first thing I test for in new lip products, is the sent. I can’t take the smell of perfumed products but this one has a wet clay like sent. It does go away and I don’t taste it in my mouth every time I talk.

The texture is very creamy/ moisturizing and my lips have not dried out this winter. The only gripe I have is its staying power but that’s obviously not its selling point. The two colors I have are very pigmented. I swipe each lip twice and blot.

Pictured above, Rock Candy on the left and Cream Puff on the right. Cream Puff is my go-to everyday neutral lipstick. It compliments my skin tone without looking to pale/washed out.

I love the packaging. It’s a soft velvety tube that you can grip and find easily in your make up bag. Overall, I’m pleased with this product and will definitely repurchase.

Purchased at ULTA-$15 ea.

One dress, endless possibilities

One dress, endless possibilities

The KocoSky Nico dress features a unique print, reminiscent of art deco. If you don’t mind being the center of attention, this is the dress for you.

When shopping for things to pair with Nico, keep the detailed print in mind. Less is more and a minimal approach will ensure a glamorous yet chic look. For special occasions and date nights, pair Nico with simple pointy toe heels, a slimming blazer or tailored leather jacket and structured clutch. The black, gold heel pump pictured in outfit 1 compliments the gold metallic details of the dress.

A night out with the girls will entail laughs, a bit of misbehavior and tons of priceless memories. Wear the same hot dress but tone it down a bit with a casual jean/leather vest. Pair with ankle booties and a clutch with a pop of warm color. I choose the Tory Burch clutch for both looks because of its deep vino color. I think the cool metallic lines on the dress mesh well with the warmth of the clutch.

Enjoy Nico….the possibilities are endless.

Clutch with LOVE!

Filled with LOVE

The other day I ventured out to the mall to purchase some facial moisturizer.  My first stop was Sephora.  As I wandered about, I noticed some really good value sets.  I purchased the fragrance sampler, Bare Minerals Buxom gloss set, OPI Perfect Reds nail polish set, and a couple Stila Smudge Crayons.
The Stila Smudge Crayons are my everyday, go-to eye products.  I use them on my upper lids as liner and shadow.  It’s the only product that stays on my lids all day without creasing.  It also comes off completely with soap and water, no racoon eye residue.  Buxom gloss is another favorite.  I personally love the smell and warm tingle it gives off.  I’m not a big fan of perfumes and can never find the time to polish my nails so those sets will be given as gifts.  Actually, all of it will be given as gifts.
Operation “Clutch-with-LOVE” is what I call it.  The KocoSky Sasha, Genevieve, and Diedre will be filled with some of my favorite products.  The value sets will be split up and distributed to each clutch, including a Smudge Stick and false Ardel lashes.
It’s a great way to let your friends try new product and the clutch is the perfect package. My favorite is the “Genevieve”.  It’s a rich mustard color with chic zipper detail.

Happy Holidays!  May you all be blessed with good health, loving relationships, and wealthy friends that give good gifts.  Just kidding!

HAPPY HOLIDAY’S EVERYONE!
